Serve City Has a Place for You to Get Connected
Serve City's success depends on people like you who are willing to share your time, expertise and passion with your neighbors through us. For questions regarding volunteer opportunities, contact our Volunteer Services & Community Engagement Manager, Jeff Gambrell, at jeffg@serve-city.org. If you are ready to volunteer, please complete and return our Volunteer Application.
* Serve City reserves the right to conduct background checks on new and current volunteers and may terminate their role at any time. Furthermore, photos involving volunteers whether the service is being performed onsite or not may be utilized by Serve City for promotional purposes including (but not limited to) social media, blogs, literature, etc.
Pop-Up Food Pantry
Volunteers assist by creating a welcoming environment, engaging with customers, and helping them navigate the space. Volunteer opportunities for this are the 2nd & 4th Tuesday from 10AM - Noon.
Become a Meal Sponsor
Are you a family, business, church, or nonprofit organization looking to make a difference in our community but don't have a lot of free time to commit? Consider becoming one of our dedicated meal sponsors today! Our residents are provided three meals a day through our shelter kitchen, and we rely on the generosity of our meal sponsors to prepare and serve many of the meals we offer. Interested in becoming a meal sponsor? Please email meals@serve-city.org to sign up today!
Organize a Food Drive
A great option for schools, churches and community groups wanting to do more outside of in-person volunteering is by hosting a food drive through their associated organization. We are always seeking to replenish our inventory of non-perishable food items including canned fruits & vegetables, soups & stews, and so much more! Contact us today to receive a food drive poster personalized for your event.
Become a Food & Housing Advocate
Over 40,000 of our Butler County neighbors live below the poverty line including 17% of Hamilton residents. That's families, children, seniors, and veterans depending upon services such as ours just to survive. However, you have the power to make a difference in your local community. Consider contacting your elected officials and let them know how important it is for organizations such as Serve City to receive public support and funding.
