Have a heart for Charles R.
Here is his story, told in his words about the hurts from the past that led him to become homeless, the help he currently receives at Serve City, and the hope he holds for his future moving forward.
Hurt – On November 24th, two years ago, my wife passed. We were together thirty years. She had liver cancer. I went to Tennessee to see my daughter and grandchildren I hadn’t met. I was paying rent, but it still wasn’t home. I didn’t belong. I came back from Tennessee on July 5th, but everything had changed. I didn’t feel secure in my house.
Help –
I came to Serve City.
I got an apartment. I share with three other people.
Serve City gave me a home.
They are good to me and everybody.
Hope – To Move Forward!
Charles described himself as “faithful”.
